On the north side of Vancouver's harbour we have the evidence of a failed NDP mega project. It's only right that on the south side of the harbour we have a failed Liberal mega project. So far, the cost of the new convention center has gone up from $615 million to $883 million (so far)... almost 270 million over budget. This puts it right up there in the league of the FastCat Fiasco which went from $210 million to $460 million. Hopefully we'll get some more use out of the convention center than we did the fast ferries - but still, heads should roll... although I get the feeling they won't.
