While I haven't been glued to my screen I have enjoyed frequent peaks at the cams for the Panama Canal. I share John's sentiments on that. It has been interesting. Seeing the giant car carriers, a sailing ship, a smaller freighter accompanied by a mega yacht etc. has been fun. Thsi particular season too when the final Christmas shipments are still being rushed to warehouses for the big buying season the traffic is quite something. One after another container ship is going mostly Atlantic bound full of containers for the Eastern Seaboard and Europe. Quite mind boggling. The buy close to home sentiment has a long way to go by what I have been seeing.
