Ferry Chaser Man's above pic is one of my favourites, so far.
I like that sea-level view, and I love the propeller-wash.
And I like the curves on the V-class stern....which this pic shows off.

Man is my head in the gutter.... I thought that when you all referred to "Miss February", I thought you referred to Ms. Marshall on a bear skin rug...(Down Flugel, DOWN BOY...) Anyway, here is my entry for "Miss February"........M.V. "City of Vancouver", which made her inaguaral run on February 3, 1962. I have posted these under the "Historical photos" thread, but will include them here as my entry. And I must say...the photo I have in posession is SO much clearer than the scan here provides.

Wait a minute "P01itica1Incorr3ctn355"...... For one thing, I do not see a size restriction stipulated for any entry, but I will adjust the size of the photo if you wish. Second, I do not believe the header is specifically for the "Queen of Saanich", rather, for any ship with reference to February. A suggestion for the Queen of Saanich was made and it is only that, a suggestion. I will let a moderator decide IF need be. The City of Vancouver made her inaugural run on February 3, 1962 as I stated above, should make this a candidate. And, as stated by "Flugel" in a prior post, "I also hope that Jim or Darren can enter an "original configuration" picture to this contest, too." I take this to mean that Mike refers to an original shot of a "V" class, which I have provoded, which entered service in February. To add, this ship was only one of two in the fleet to ever carry the name "City of" versus "Queen of". I think that this makes it a candidate. Here is the photo cropped (With the "City of" designation....) Cheers, Darren

check the January thread for info on size selection.
-----------------------
Also, the first post of this here thread concludes that we will have Saanich for February.
And, when I said "original configuration", I was referring to Saanich. Here's what I said:
Darn, this February Saanich contest is going to be very tough, judging by what you've shown, so far. I also hope that Jim or Darren can enter an "original configuration" picture to this contest, too. (Moral of the story: If you ran the Chilliwack through Active Pass on a sunny day, it just might look good, too.....)

This has got to be one of the hardest selections to date.

If I may suggest, would it not be more appropriate to have Kuper as February’s flagship?
For obvious reasons...

Our current list of "ships of the month" expires after June 2007. So we will be drafting a new list of ships for the next 12 months, sometime in June 2007. In determining the official 2007-08 list, we will try to find a balance between the cumbersome democracy and the efficient dictatorship.

It will be as fair as a Port Authority is to a start-up ferry company.....

First off Klatawa, can you find one that has some cropping distance? Second off is it not zoomed all the way up? Third off, can I refer you to flugel for selling you another question mark? I couldn't budget enough for that many question marks

Any chance that the list will include a pensioner or two?

Perhaps there may be room for some ships of yesteryear, etc.
Maybe even a WSF or AMHS ship.
Lets move the discussion of the 2007-08 calendar girls to a new thread....same page as this.....I know you can find it.

I'm going to try and set up a poll right now. Hopefully I don't mess it up - I haven't done one of these yet:) It seems the end of January has caught everyone by surprise!
