S.S. San Mateo (the moderator, not the ship) will be announcing his criteria for the August 09 flagship soon.
In the meantime, you can practice by doing flagship banners of very detailed plans of the Queen of Chilliwack. (This theme brought to you by Bobby's #9 and Brett's #16). ;D ;D ;D

I will remain confused until this matter is made more clear for our most northern member. Cheers,

Cheers, It's a hull-numbers joke. re the very very detailed plans of the Q-Chilliwack, and re the hull numbers #9 & #16 that the hockey players wore. I tried to be clever in my satire.

I'm sure many of us would like to see the Albion Ferries this month. However I don't think we will unless Mr. San Mateo makes a Calgary style move and aquires the rights to another forum month (such as Septmeester or Bouwtober...maybe Jayvember) but that would put him in a cap situation that would make his team good, but outside the top lines he would have lots of small useless players.
Anyways, enough hockey puns...It's probably better that we don't have the Albion boats this month. It would give the forum more time to get photos in the last month/days of service.

For this month's banner, the ferry will be the new additions to BC Ferries in the last few years. The following vessels are eligible: - Northern Expedition
- Coastal Celebration
- Coastal Inspiration
- Coastal Renaissance
- Island Sky
- Kuper
- Northern Adventure
(for the last 2 on the list, pictures of the ferry prior to joining BC Ferries are not eligible). The usual rules apply here. Depending on the number of nominations, there may be a preliminary poll.

This is my first submission of a Forum Flagship. Hope I've followed all the guidelines correctly with the maximum size of 960 by 240. This is of the new MV NORTHERN EXPEDITION. These pictures were taken on my first trip to Port Hardy when she had her Open Ship there on May 17, 2009. Here are my three entries: MV NORTHERN EXPEDITION at anchor with a sailboat in Port Hardy. Actual size located here. Using the telephoto feature of my camera, I capture both northern vessels. Actual size located here. This is one of the most historic photographs I have ever taken. The first sailing of the NORTHERN EXPEDITION from the Bear Cove Terminal in Port Hardy on May 18, 2009. This may be one of the only pictures taken from this location at the terminal as I didn't see any news journalists or other cameras there that morning. Our Musical Moderator was in downtown Port Hardy taking pictures of her first sailing. Actual size located here.

Are we allowed to have old ferries in it too; for example my signature? Yes. As long as at least one of the eligible vessels appears in the picture, it's ok. Also, I added the Island Sky to the list of eligible vessels (I can't believe I forgot that one).
