Just reading the news on the BCF site and they now want to put one of these on 17 ships. I don't know which ships but most likely all of the ships on the major routes and looks like a few smaller routes. This is to help a passenger out if they go out into cardiac arrest and they have trained 140 crew members to use it. I guess BCF was noticeing that there were starting to be more and more passenger medical emergencies causing sailings to leave later than scheduled. So now when they get these things in people can feel a bit safer if they go out into cardiac arrest out in the middle of the Georgia Straight even though it's probably not comfortable at all.

It sounds like a good idea. Recently I have noticed the amount of delays due to medical emergencies on the "actual departures" page on the website.
