By allowing you to vote for "up to 3 choices" on your ballot, we're hoping to get a better consensus on which 1 item is the overall favourite amongst everyone.

ie. sometimes it's really hard to choose between 2 very good choices, and maybe 1/2 the people vote for 1, and 1/2 the people vote for the other, and 1 wins in a squeaker, but many people had trouble making up their minds.

By choosing "up to 3", it should be easier for people to vote. And based on all that voting, it should be clear which 1 picture was the overall favourite, because not everyone is going to choose the same 3, and the common-choice will become the clear winner. I hope.

If you don't like it, just vote for 1. But I and others will be voting for 3........and some might just vote for 2.

We'll see how it goes. Remember, this is all for fun.

The NorAd at the end of a tow line is kind of fun. It is currently in the lead.

On the other hand, do we really want that image at the top of the page for all of August? Some of the friendly folks at BCFS HQ may not be amused.

Maybe we could have the NorAd from the 1st - 15th and the NorEx at dusk (11 votes) from the 16th - 31st..?

You can't see the tow-rope very clearly in the picture, and so many people might just see it as an interesting photo regarding the contrasts in ship sizes.

I think it's ok for full month. It was nominated on someone's suggestion, and many people voted for it.

It represents reality, and we're not rubbing it in any manager's face with a saucy caption that explains the true story. We're not being disrespectful, in my opinion. I don't think we need to self-censor.

It's an amusing picture for those who know the story. For others, it's just an interesting contrast in sizes.

Well, not really....

You never know when you might be hitting close to the truth. There may ultimately be some dealings that take place which even Flugel Horn is not aware of. I feel that the whole process is not entirely non-partisan, and is probably utterly influenced by those personal emotional attachments that Neil sometimes cannot fathom both for our favorite photographers as well as for our favorite ships.

It's probably the only time as many people will actually willingly vote to see the Norad as the forum header. Call it a fluke, but it's likely to be her only chance as flagship, cause it probably won't happen twice.
