Did anyone notice this page on the BCF site that shows whats on Board the Queens of Saanich and Vancouver and Spirits of Vancouver Island and British Columbia? All of those ships are different. Saanich has upper deck restaurant and Vancouver doesn't but anyways just thought I would show you guys this because I think there was a posting a while ago about what some of the vessels had on board and others didn't www.bcferries.com/schedules/amenities/tssw.html

The Queen of Vancouver does have White Spot they just dont list it on the Amenities brochure. Also the Upper Deck Resturant on the Queen of Saanich they dont use anymore. Right now it is just another sitting area like on the Van and Esquimalt.

Grrr! I hate Web site adresses, ! If you go into the links section of the Yahoo group you will Find Bills site, click on, then you will find his pictures of the Queen of Saanich and other ferries. Its worth a look. I have mentioned it on the yahoo group, And I will mention it hear, if any one is traveling on the Spirit ships take some picts of thier interior It would be cool to see what they look like inside. The last time I was on the Spirit of Vancouver Island she still had the BC Ferries 40th anniversary logal on the funnel. Yes, thats quite some time.

I actually dident see a photo on his site of the upper deck resturant and I cant seem to open that link you you posted. The last time I was on the Queen of Saanich was back in June of this year. I think it's open when it's really busy but I dont think they serve food in there anymore. I think it is just a lounge now like on the Van and Esquimalt. As even on the announcements they dont mention the upper deck resturant when they list the amenities. I guess if they really had to use it for some reason, they probably could, but I doubt they would do that.
That was the years 2000 when they had the 40th logos on the funnels.
I travel on the Spirits quite frequently. I havent been on too many sailings that are less crowded. Usually the best photo taking is on less crowded sailings.

I know what the upper deck is it's that area with the circulaire tables and about 4 chairs to each one. On the queen of vancouver she just has a lounge on the upper deck but saanich tried to have a restaurant up there. there is still the buffet line up things there still. Just remebered.

I remember two years ago going on board the Queen of the Sandwich, and the upper deck was open. It was a busy 10AM Sailing to Swartz Bay, but back in August going back to Vancouver on the same ship, it wasn't open, so I think it's only used in busy conditions.

i don't think they use the buffet on either the vancouver or the sannich anymore. most of my trips across in the summer are on these 2 boats and i usually sit up there because of the tables
