If you look on the service notices page on the BCF page you'll notice that theres tonz of posts on there for schedule changes for the upcoming holidays especially on Christmas and New Years. Probably mostly for the crew people that want to stay home a little longer on those days to spend more time with their family and all for Christmas morning and evening on all of the routes exept for HSP-DPB and SWB-TSW. And the Bowen Queen is taking the place of the Skeena Queen this friday for her yearly refit. It's been a while since shes been down here.

the bowen was on fulford-swartz for a day in either sept or oct of this year. fulford is her home port 12 months of the year. she is sent from here to fill in on other routes.
the skeena is only out for the day. like last time she is probably going to be at the esquimalt graving docks. she was there last time for some work that needed a crane from the drydock.

Yes, I have never seen so many service notices on there. That is the most I have seen. I would like to know why Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay dont have the two first morning sailings cancelled??? Have they ever?? I thought one year they did but I am not totally sure. If they cancelled the first and last sailings from Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen it would work. I seen Crofton to Vesuvius the first sailing is like 11:45am. That is later than previous years.

First time I saw how many service notes there were I went Whoa! and the last time the Bowen Queen was on Fulford Harbour-Swartz Bay was before she replaced the NIP on Texada back in about early October.

The only BC Ferry route which is completly suspended on Christmas Day is the Mill Bay run. No service on that route at all.
