I think we need a forum topic for questions so this is it. Anyway for 1 Question I was at Horseshoe Bay earlier today and when we parked in our lane for Langdale instead of the Surrey in berth 3 (note that this was before the Surrey arrived) the Quadra Queen 2 was there (also when the Surrey arrived the Quadra Queen 2 switched berths) why was she there? Waiting to go to Port Mc-Neil

Well seeming she has been in North Van for a few weeks getting painted she probably went there to pick up a crew to take her to Port Mcneil

She is probably picking up stuff for Port Mcneil. According to the service bulletin the Quadra Queen is scheduald to return to service on Dec 22. The Tachek will sail to Hornby Island and become the winter ship on that run begining December 23. When the Quadra Queen 2 went into refitt she made a stop at Horeshoe Bay enroute to Vancouver to unload some stuff, so she is probably picking it up again.

That's possible because I saw cars on the Quadra Queen 2 unless it was the crew

Cars? I get it now. When the crew left Alert Bay they carried thier cars with them and unloaded them at Horseshoe Bay and kept them their. When they deliverd the ship to the shipyards, They probably got a ride back to Horseshoe Bay, Picked up thier cars and got on the ferry to departure Bay then drove home. To pick up the ferry, They drove down to Departure Bay, sailed over to Horseshoe Bay and left them at there. When they sailed from Allied Shipyard they make a brief stop at Horseshoe Bay to pick up thier cars. Now this makes sence

Horseshoe Bay regularly recieves vessels on re-assignment or transfer type runs. On a rare rare day in May (? not sure about month) I witnessed all 4 Cs in and around Horshoe Bay w/i 30 minutes. The Coquitlam was in berth #1, returning from her mid-life, Cowichan was in Berth 2, taking her regular run, Surrey was in Berth 3 for Langdale and the Oak Bay had been clearing Horseshoe Bay about 3-4 minutes before the Coquitlam became visible.
