When Queen of Esquimalt and Saanich were being built, they started construction on them on April, 2,1962 but the book "Dogwood Fleet" says she was launched on Jan 22, 1962 I'm pretty sure thats supposed to be 1963 but seeming they started constuction on them at the same time, it took till Nov, 28, 1962 for the Saanich to be launch. How come it took another 2 months to finnish Esquimalt? And they also started Victoria on May 1, 1961 and 22 days later on May 23, 1961 Vancouver was started, and so Victoria was launched on Oct 24, 1961 and then Vancouver was launched on Jan 16,1962. Why did that 23 day difference turn out to be a three month difference too Now with the B-Class with New Westminster and Nanaimo, both started on May 24,1963. Now at the time being the way they were originally built how come it only took till Dec 3 1963 to do Nanaimo and May 12, 1964 to do New Westminster. I don't know if it's just me but you would think two of the same ferries would be ready at the same time or at least done on the same month but not from a few months to a year. Does anybody know the reasoning for that?
