Sunshine coast Skiers, and ferries

This is a good question for PR Queen Kid:

Are there any ski hills in the Powell river area, or do you have to get on the Queen of Burnaby to go to Mount Washington or do people prefer to take two Ferries to Vancouver and go up Grouse Mountain, Cypress Bowl or Mount Seymour?

I once met some people from the sunshine coast on Grouse who had plans to go up there a week earlier but couldn't due to the Ferry strike (this was a year ago)

I don't live on the sunchine coast but i know a bit about the ski hills. It would be easier to go to Mt Washington because it has a ski in out village.

There was once a place to ski here but it's long gone now and for going to skiing resorts we go to Mt Washington alot closer. It's a good place to ski although I don't ski
