It's the HMY Britannia AKA the former Royal Yacht of Queen Elizabeth II.

I guess I could post this here. We know the name of this ship, but what's her history? Also, does anyone know the history of this? It looks like it used to be a barge or ferry berth, and it is on the south shore of False Creek, just West of the Olympic Village.

What bridge is in the background? That's the Cambie St. Bridge in the background. Underneath it, is the VPD K-9 unit headquarters (IF I remember rightly. Could just be a cop shop).

That's the Cambie Bridge in behind. The photo is taken from the new artificial island in False Creek near the Olympic Village, and you're looking West in the photo.

Yay for posting at the same time! I know that building DOES NOT have something to do with the VPD. The building next to it, however does. This building has something to do with the City of Vancouver. They park a bunch of their cop-cars on the left side of the building.

I looked on GE (Google Earth) it's a place for barges. BC has a few docks like that around.
