This is a thread to keep track of all sports around the world. Whether it's the NHL, NBA, NFL, CFL, MLB, Golf, Minor League Teams, Teams that are outside North America, etc. Anything sports- related can go here, such as trades, contract extensions, scores, sports fights, individual players etc. NHL = National Hockey League NBA = National Basketball Association MLB = Major League Baseball CFL = Canadian Football League NFL = National Football League (US)
Please do not talk about players personal issues, eg. Tiger Woods scandals. If you must discuss it, please place it in the "why the sky is blue" thread.
To start this off, I'm dissapointed in the BC Lions so far this season. 6 weeks in the season, and only 1 win against the Edmonton Eskimos. Travis Lulay clearly isn't the answer, as he has given up turnovers in key parts of the game, where the Lions were close to winning. Week 7 @ Saskatchewan, Jarious Jackson will be starting Quarterback, hopefully giving the Lions their second win.

Has anyone here been to a Lions game at Empire Field, this year?
I'm wondering if the experience is somewhat like riding an un-coastalized B-class instead of a spook? ;D
Nostalgic location and views of the mountains. I wonder if that's enough to offset the poor team season?

Do they still have those lovely bench seats for the old school numb bum?

Well, the BC Lions have let us down again, falling to the Saskatchewan Roughriders 37-13. Darian Durant and Wes Cates with 2 touchdowns each, and a couple field goals lead them to the win. Week 8, they will be off with no games, and Week 9, they will be playing in Calgary against the Stampeders. BC Lions record is now 1-6, and Wally Buono has his worst CFL start in his career. Saskatchewan Roughriders are now 5-2. Jarious Jackson did start and end QB for the Lions this game.
