Just checking out the Global air photos and they sure can make questions, like the picture on another thread with the "4 Queens in Swartz Bay". Well this picture has Nanaimo (the city) in it. It also was taken in 1999 and it looks like Queen of Victoria is sitting in Departure Bay, and on the otherside of Newcastle Island which looks like it could be Queen of New westminster but looks more like Queen of Esquimalt because it has that longer look??? What's everyones call on that? Oh I guess you all need the link: www.globalairphotos.com/large/BC/Nanaimo/East/1999/060/2But I don't have a question about this one but I thought I would just throw it in to show you guys too with Queen of Sidney sitting in Powell River JUST NEARLY A MONTH BEFORE SHE WAS SOLD TOO! www.globalairphotos.com/large/BC/Powell_River/All/2000/007/2

That is not the queen of victoria because she was already out of service in 1999.

I remember seeing a V class sitting in Departure Bay for the longest time. I mainly saw her from the air though all the times we have been out flying, and been over Naniamo. I thought it was the Queen of Victoria cause one way I could tell it was her was because the blue on her funnel was a bit lighter than the other V class in otherwords her funnel never was repainted.

The Esquimalts been out of Deprture Bay for several years now (obviously on and off), I'd assume that it would be her there, too.

I just thought I would point this picture out because it looks interesting to me. It's interesting because it's a picture of the Bowen Queen at Deas. Now to me it looks like a toy from like a model trainset or something. I know obviously it's real, but just by the quality of the pic it looks like a little model of the Bowen Queen, see for yourselves.. www.pbase.com/kstapleton/image/34304081
