In response to a new game by Flugel Horn, I've decided to create a sister game, but with more personal connections and thoughts of the ferry, rather than facts/names. Here's how it works: Post name of the ship. The next person would reply with: 1) the first thing that comes to mind when you see the name 2) name 3 facts you know by heart of the ship 3) prediction of the ship's year of retirement
Finally, you post a different ship, so the next person would do the same for that ship. However, that is optional. You don't have to post a new ship if you wish, so the next person could do the same ship ------------------------- Example: "Coastal Celebration" 1) Celebrate 2) Built 2008 in Flensburg, Germany, overall length is 160m, has a Pacific Buffet, unlike her other two sisters. 3) 2060-2070
"Queen of New Westminster" (or, leave it as Coastal Celebration for the next reply) ----------------------------- This isn't limited to BC Ferries, posters can also do BC Inland Ferries, WSF Ferries, Black Ball Ferries, Albion Ferries, Seabus', or any other common ferries. Terminals are NOT allowed in this game. Enjoy playing! As BCLC would say, "Know your limit, play within it" (meaning only 1 reply each day per person, like the other ferry game)
I'll start it off with....... "ISLAND SKY"

"MV Wickersham" (since she's already retired, pick the year you think she SHOULD'VE been retired )

Next on the docket: Nimpkish. 1) I think of a bathtub toy I used to have. (maybe still do ) 2)smallest vehicle capacity of the fleet, tied with Mill Bay; The only N-class ferry still both owned and operated by BC Ferries; Has three sister-ships: The Nicola, Garibaldi II, and the Albert J. Savoie. 3) I think Nimpkish should be retired between 2018 and 2022. (By the way, ships that have already been retired, you post the date they SHOULD HAVE been retired, not the date that they actually were retired. It keeps with the general theme better ) Next up, Kwuna.

If the state adheres to its vessel retirement age mandate of 60 years old, then Klahowya will get retired in 2018. I doubt she will be retired any sooner.

If they perform the MLU on her that they have been talking about, they may even extend her service beyond 2027, which, of course, would push her past 60 years old, and would be against current policy, but who knows what will happen between now and then?
