On Monday February 7 the Queen of Burnaby will go for refit so the Tsawwassen will be taking over for the time she's in refit first time shes been in service since October so she won't be replacing the Nanny anytime soon

That's right, The Nanny isn't going for refit untill later, and it won't be this winter anytime.

I think it would be "interesting" to see what would happen if the Tsawwassen were to break-down for an extended # of day, during the next month. Which vessel would be deployed to serve the Comox-PR run?
Maybe they would move the Chilliwack to PR-Comox, and then find a spare open-deck ferry for Jervis Inlet, like the Mayne Queen maybe?
just wondering.

well... that would work. but i think the kahloke is taking over for the Klitsa soon. so that the klitsa can go in for her refit. so i guess the klitsa could be rushed back into service, and then the Kahloke (35 - 40 Car Cap) could be rushed into service on bowen and then whatevers on the bowen could replace it. but i think the tswassen go a good refit, so i dont think they will have a problem with her.

Take the Cap and put her on the Earls Cove route then move the Chilliwack to Comox then use the Mayne Queen to replace the Cap. Lets just hope the Tsawwassen dont break down or else they will be in bind if that happens.

It was a hypothetical musing, a game of "what if?"

Hey, PR-Q-16, did you ever ride the North Island Princess when it would do a crossing to Comox in the summer?
I think this happened in 1998 or so, on a trial basis. Also at that time, I think they had the Sidney stop at Blubber Bay a few times per week......but it wasn't successful.
I think it would be neat to cross from Comox to Westview on the N.I.P.......but not in winter !
ps: do you know if anyone lives on Harwood Island? I go past it on the Burnaby, but I don't know if it's inhabited or not....

Replying to what Fugal Horn said I never did that thing with the Sidney I never even knew the NIP did that. As for Harwood nobody lives there it was used by the Sliammon first nations ages ago they say Harwood is sacred. There was a hermit on Harwood months ago it was in National Post he was taken in.

Yeah I think the Kahloke is replacing the Klitsa right now, I was looking down towards Chemainus from Ladysmith and the Klitsa looked alot bigger, so I guess it really is the Kahloke well... that would work. but i think the kahloke is taking over for the Klitsa soon. so that the klitsa can go in for her refit. so i guess the klitsa could be rushed back into service, and then the Kahloke (35 - 40 Car Cap) could be rushed into service on bowen and then whatevers on the bowen could replace it. but i think the tswassen go a good refit, so i dont think they will have a problem with her.

It would be neat to see the SOBC at Deas. I might head over to Vancouver again this month, so I will have to drive by Deas and take a look at the SOBC there. I have never seen a Spirit at Deas before. Which berth is she in???
