See cut/paste from BCF Website below: This is interesting: it's from the BCF Website, on service notices. I think this is very professional of BCF to do, to clearly state that a sailing is fully booked, and that they've done everything to ensure maximum # of passengers. There will probably be some "don't-plan-ahead-passengers" who show up without reservations, and then demand passage as their "right", spewing rhetoric about how the ferry is an extension of the highway, and that they pay their taxes, etc...... but when a ship is full, it really is full. Yes, it pays to plan ahead. Does anyone know why this weekend's northern sailing is full? I'm guessing a cultural event in Rupert or Klemtu?

The northbound sailing departing Port Hardy to mid-coast ports and Prince Rupert on Saturday, February 5 is now fully booked.
BC Ferries has upgraded the ship’s operating license for this trip to accommodate the maximum number of passengers. That maximum number has now been reached, and no additional space is available.
Accordingly, passengers who do not currently hold reservations for the February 5 northbound departure will not be able to travel on this sailing.
BC Ferries has made every effort to accommodate as many passengers as the operating license allows, and regrets the disappointment this may cause those who have not reserved space.
