Here's a quick overview of the current status of vessels retired from BC Ferries after the year 2000.

Mill Bay
Retired on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Sold to Grey Area Holdings Limited of Duncan, BC who took possession of the vessel on Monday, May 2, 2011 to serve in Knight Inlet. Renamed Buttle Shuttle.
Queen of Prince Rupert
Retired on Monday, April 20, 2009 and laid up at FMU (Deas Dock). Purchased by Goundar Shipping who took possession of the vessel in April 2011. Renamed Lomaiviti Princess. Departed FMU for Levuka, Fiji on Friday, August 5, 2011. Arrived in Levuka on Tuesday, August 24, 2011. Commenced passenger service on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
Queen of Vancouver
Retired on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Sold to Coast Marine who had planned to convert her into a barge. Towed to Woodfibre to begin conversion. Sold at auction to Infraestructura y Servicios Portuarios S.A. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 and towed to Fanny Bay on Thursday, July 19, 2012. On Friday, August 10, 2012, she left Fanny Bay under the tow of Pacific Tugboat Services tug, Alan G, bound for Ensenada, Mexico. Arrived at her destination on Monday, August 20, 2012. Scrapping commenced shortly thereafter.
Queen of Saanich
Retired on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Sold to BMHG Enterprises of Cassidy, BC. Towed to a remote location north of Kelsey Bay on Vancouver Island for use as a logging camp. Renamed Owen Belle. Court ordered the ship arrested on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Officially seized on Monday, October 4, 2010. In mid-November 2011, ship was towed to northwest side of Anvil Island. Sold to Reciclajes Ecologicos Maritimos S.A. On Friday, September 7, 2012, she departed under the tow of Craig Trans en route to Lázaro Cárdenas for scrapping.
Queen of Tsawwassen
Retired on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Purchased by Helifor for conversion and use as a logging camp off West Redonda Island. Renamed Inlet Explorer. Currenty for sale.
Queen of Esquimalt
Retired on Sunday, May 25, 2008. Sold to Dalian Golden Sun I/E Co., Ltd. Renamed Princess Jacqueline. Towed to Port Alberni and later abandoned. Sold to Infraestructura y Servicios Portuarios, S.A. On Wednesday, June 1, 2011, she left Port Alberni under the tow of Pacific Tugboat Services tug, Alan G, bound for Ensenada, Mexico. Arrived at her destination on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Scrapping commenced shortly thereafter.
Queen of the North
At approximately 0025 on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, the Queen of the North hit Gil Island while sailing southbound en route to Port Hardy. After drifting near the island for approximately one hour and 15 minutes, she sank in Wright Sound in 420 meters of water.
Pacificat Explorer, Discovery and Voyager
Out of service in 2000. Laid up at FMU (Deas Dock). Sold at auction on Monday, March 24, 2003. Purchased at auction by Washington Marine Group for $19,000,000 CDN. Laid up at Seaspan facilities in North Vancouver. On Tuesday, July 28, 2009, WMG announced that all three were sold to Abu Dhabi Mar in the UAE. All three are currently moored in Alexandria, Egypt.
Albert J. Savoie
Retired in 2002. Sold to Rainy Day Logging. Sold again in 2007 to Mountain Marine Transport for use as a freight ship. Renamed R.J. Breadner. Currently for sale.
Queen of the Islands
Sold in October 1991 to St. John's Lodge. Used as a fish camp in various places around coastal BC. Sold in June 2009 to Celebration on Water. Currently converted into a wedding and conference venue and features patios, a lounge and a dining room. Moored in North Vancouver. Renamed Spirit of the Nation (in reference to the Squamish Nation).
Queen of Victoria
Sold in 2001 and renamed Queen of Ocoa to R & G Importadora & Exportadora of the Dominican Republic. Renamed Aan in 2005. Scrapped at Alang, India in early 2006.
Queen of Sidney
Retired on Tuesday, November 28th, 2000. Purchased by Rainy Bay Logging. Later sold to Bob & Gerald Tapp. Decaying on the banks of the Fraser River next to the half submerged San Mateo near Silverdale.
Queen of Chilliwack
Laid-up at FMU (Deas Dock) upon the cancellation of Route 40 under the BC Liberals. Open house for prespective bidders held at FMU on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 with offers closing on Friday, May 22, 2015. Sold to Goundar Shipping. Renamed Lomaiviti Princess III. Departed FMU on Friday, December 11, 2015, arriving in Suva on Tuesday, January 05, 2016. Commenced passenger service on Friday, January 15, 2016.
Tenaka
Open house for perspective bidders held in early March 2016 at FMU (Deas Dock) with offers closing in mid-March 2016. Sold to Lady Rose Marine Services. Renamed Alberni Legacy. Departed FMU on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 arriving the next day in Port Alberni. Entering service in 2017 or 2018.
