I heard rumors the Quinitsa was sold for scrape due structural wastage. Has any one heard this? I have heard BCFS secretly built a replacement ferry that is base on the Kuper from a barge and is excepted to be in service by summer. Trials is said to be early June and except to towed into Deas some time in May after Quinitsa hull is taken away for scrape. If you believe a word of this then I have swamp land for sale but there are some information that is correct. Lets see who can find more or get pictures of this new ferry. ;D ;D I have all the answers but will be fun to read what rest of you here will report and who can get first pictures of the completed vessel.

Uhhhhh...Does Not Compute. Are You saying the Quinitsa went under the knife in her MLU? Or is this scrap rumor true? Or Dare I Say It, Alternative Service Provider!? Or maybe this is just a late April Fools Joke?

According to spring issue of The Wave she has been totally overhauled with work done that is similar to what was done to the Kuper...

Ship-Rider 16: Answers are Yes, No, No and No.
Scott is on the right track. How much work is being done? Hint she is now more a sister to Kuper than Quinsam is. Some at Deas call her the Super Kuper.

Where exactly is she right now? Is she in a visible area that some one could get a picture?

lol, good one, blackshaddow, you had me going there for a while. Now I see what you're getting at, and in this case maybe it could be considered a true MLU, in the literal sense. I'll try to find some time soon to snap some pics, thanks for the heads up.

Answer to question of location, Yes she is at Deas in berth #2 and one shrink warp, secretly being changed and Very hard to get pictures unless you are working on her. Soon the secret will be very visible. If one is around Deas say Tuesday and Wednesday may see what equipment is being lifted aboard as I heard ridgers getting ready make few lifts on these days. Her right angle drives and main engines were spotted on trucks arriving at Deas last week. I am enjoying reading the guessing. ;D Hats off to first one to get pictures.
