The current conditions on Thursday and Saturday put the Queen of Alberni on the Duke Point run, but I didn't see if it said she was on the run on Friday. The reason I'm wondering is because she was tied up at Departure Bay Friday night around 8:30 when I came in from Horseshoe Bay on the Queen of Coquitlam. Is the current conditions page wrong or was she off the run for one day?

On Friday, The Queen of Alberni had a saftey certification to be done and needed to be out of service for the day.

I'm not sure where the Alberni was supposed to be. I saw her too at Departure Bay on Friday evening. I flew home from Vancouver on Baxter, and we flew over Newcastle Island, which gave me a nice view of Departure Bay terminal & Newcastle Channel. It took me a few glances to realize that she was the Alberni.
Oh, and "Wecome Back, John". I'm glad it's Hammer-Time once again on this board.

I looked at the current conditions on Friday and the Queen of Esquimalt was listed on the Duke Point run. The Queen of Alberni was out of service for something on Friday and she was tied up at Departure Bay. The Alberni will be leaving again on Monday I think it is and going to Langdale to replace the Queen of Surrey and the Queen of Esquimalt will be back on the Duke Point run. So the Esquimalt should be a DB right now.

I am now working on "stretching" the passenger deck of the Queen of Alberni. It is going to be harder than "lifting" the Tsawwassen or Nanaimo, so I might not be done until tomorrow. I have already moved the ends forth for a test and it looks pretty real, so you might be surprised of what Photoshop can do.

This isn't actually as hard as I figured. So, I'm going to make it look like she's been through refurbishment already by adding the new evacuation stations, adding a new rescue boat, etc....

Wow that's so cool. It looks exactly like Queen of Cowichan and Coquitlam. Do you think you be able to make it look like Queen of Oak Bay by any chance? You don't have to but it's just an idea.

Probably pretty close. I might try it tomorrow when I alter the bridges.

That Cumberland stretched like the Oak Bay photo is pretty cool. A smaller intermediate ferry like that is what they need for the Earls Cove and Powell River to Comox runs when those ships retire.
