Over the past few weeks, BCFS has developed a habit of letting HSB routes fall far behind schedule without posting service notices or otherwise making the delays widely known.
At this writing, for example, route #3 is delayed by 53 minutes, route #2 is behind by half an hour, and route #8 is late by 13 minutes.
Route #3 had a suspiciously lengthy 'stalled vehicle' while the CR on #2 was held up due to yet another medical emergency.
You wouldn't know this, however, unless you could be bothered to go digging in the BCFS "Departures and Arrivals, Major Terminals" page and Googling various ferry names to look for news articles. There are no service notices despite service being off by 30 minutes or more on two major routes.
Am I imagining things or has BCFS' customer communications got worse this season?

It is the responsibility of the traveler to make themselves aware of the situations at terminals and on routes, before traveling. You would be expected to do the same before flying on an airport/airline's website, what is the difference? Traveler beware. Selecting the very large, and very obvious 'Current Conditions' button off of BCFerries.com is not "digging" by any stretch of the imagination. Comprehensive information on all major routes is readily available, service notice or not.

I get service notices on an almost daily basis that the SGI routes are running 15-20 minutes behind schedule. Why aren't the same notices issued for HSB routes? If BCF is going to issue service notices for a given circumstance, it should at least be consistent across the fleet.
