Take a look at the first two pictures on this page: www.nanaimoshipyard.com/nanaimo_shipyard/projects.html . Can someone tell me if those are ferries? The first one is in Esquimalt, not Nanaimo so it could be. The apron is noticable on the picture as well, so that's a trademark of the ferries. The second photo is just simply, propellers. I have a flinch that might be a "V" Class ferry because the shafts have those "V" shaped supports attached to the hull of the ship. Is that on every ship or just ferries? Just wondering, because those are sure big propellers.

Maybe it is a ferry but it's hard to say. Both of the Pictures look like they're from Esquimalt because I really don't think a V-Class could fit in the Nanaimo drydock, and I've only seen smaller ferries there

That makes sense. I have never heard of any big ferries going to Nanaimo for a repair.

Harbour Lynx Kid
How come an image I saw of Quinsam showed she was at Departure bay?
Quinsam is my favourite vessel but I am living in Vancouver and she does TEXT to Gabriola Island.
I don't think she does get her work done at Deas Island!

That picture of the Quinsam is on the Ferry Terminal Site. It looks like its from when Quinsam got that hole in her hull and had to have Bowen Queen replace her for a little while. That was a few years ago. It seems like she only goes in to get work done if she needs it which is every few years. I think Quinsam is a really reliable ferry with a small history of needing repairs.

they need to spend some time to get some stuff (Like Ventalators) to keep the void spaces ventalated and keeps the rust low.
