It's been so long since I've seen that- back in the days when my family would go on annual trips to the Gulf Islands. I remember coming into Otter Bay, Pender Island (I think I have the right name!) on the QoNan with a similar sight. I like that packaging, and it makes you wonder if a bow door alteration needs to be intstalled if the QoN replacement is the Sonia (X ) Needless to reiterate, but nice shots, again, Scott.

Great shots as usual, Chris. I've been looking for my pictures of the Saanich's upper deck snack bar from before they replaced the chairs to compare, but can't seem to find them.

Great shots as usual, Chris. I've been looking for my pictures of the Saanich's upper deck snack bar from before they replaced the chairs to compare, but can't seem to find them. Ah, I thought those chairs looked new. Sorry I didn't get more photos of the interior, but you get a pretty good idea with what it's like in there. It seemed like every lounge I went in to take a picture, everyone would stop and stare at me. Kind of put me in weird situation, so I would wander around looking for better opportunities for photos, which are the ones that were posted.

What you have to do is take photos at the end of the sailings when people start heading down to the car decks. You might have to rush a bit if your driving off but if your walking if is a good chance to take photos and less busy sailings are the best too. I dont like taking photos either when it's busy like that. I mean do you really look like a terrorist?, lol! Who cares what people think, people take photos of anything now a days. lol!

Yeah, I knew the best opportunity would be to take photos just before the ship docked. The only problem is, there's alot of walk-on passengers, and they seem to hang around in all of the areas of the ship, right until all of the ramps are down. I also cut it close both times, just seconds before we were docked, as I was the driver of the car, and my family was waiting down on the cardeck. But oh well, I'll just have to make another trip when it's not so busy:).

Nice site Karl. I apologise for never visiting it before. I would especially like to congratulate you on the Queen of Oak Bay photos. They were exactly the pictures I would have took... if I were any decent at photography!
