Not a great photo, but here's one of the Spirit Class ferries taken from the aft pickle fork of the Chelan as we sailed past Spieden lsland. The clouds that day were quite spectacular!

Hey.... new member, at least to this club... I've been around the bcferries yahoo group for years, but mostly only a closet member... didn't know this board existed Kinda upset since I think I missed out on some good trips that you guys went on... Went on a trip to Victoria on wednesday and got some decent pictures of the SOVI... the Queens of Saanich and Vancouver, moored at TSA and Shwarts Bay, as well as some of the Gulf Islands runners. I'll try and post some photos later, once I get this place familiarized to me... it was an incredible bright and beautiful day. Other than that... Just wanted to introduce myself properly... I read the post on people who weren't giving proper intros, so... Here I am... this is me... my profile's a little bit incomplete, but I'm working on it.

Well, after that warm welcome...
Glad you found the site, Mill Bay. It's probably a lot livelier than the other forum.

Well, seeming Graham is basically the only one who's uploading pics on a daily basis, I figured that seeming I have the day off today, I may as well upload some too, to change it up a bit. . I've dug deep, and dragged out some CD's, and I even had to dust off a few CD's that I have saved most of my pics to, to upload them back on to my computer. Anyways, enough of the stories already.... Here are some of my favourite pics, albeit some of them are about a year old now. Happy viewing! www.flickr.com/photos/ferrymanbcpix/

Great shots, Scott. One of these days, we'lll have to do a group trip out there. I know.....we've been planning a few, but none have actually been done....have they? The rain and snow had always cancelled those trips.

Very nice shots, Scott; thanks for taking the fairly long walk to get there and and back. I've found that a couple things combine to deter from easily getting to Jack Point, the point that Duke Point Terminal is on. Because there is no way to cross the chainlink fence from the terminal, you have to go almost as far as the first set of traffic lights away from the terminal to get to the trail. Once you arrive at the trailhead there are prominent signs saying that there is no parking allowed.

I felt inspired to edit a few pics from the only time that I've been to Jack Point, just before dawn as the Queen of Alberni was taking back her position on route 30 as the Duke Point vessel, coming from Departure Bay Including:

why has one of the s class been in and out of service because in twassenntreminals signature it shows one of the s class out of service why??? That is cut from an old photograph, kieran h. At that time the SoBC had just finished her annual refit and was getting ready to go back into service earlier this year, tied up at Berth 2 with the Queen of Vancouver also out of service in the foreground at Berth 1. At left in the signature is the Queen of New Westminster on the way to Duke Point Terminal.

Great pics; thanks for those, Scott. - I've added 12 pics of the last arrival of the Queen of the North at Tsawwassen Terminal to my tribute collection, including... Deep into U.S. waters, Point Robberts' Lighthouse Park at right
Delaying in order to allow the SoBC to arrive at the terminal first, the Queen of the North does one complete loop before doing another 360 degree pivot turn at the terminal to pull in stern-to

If I'd been the one to greet you, you'd have ended up hanging from a flagpole in your jockey shorts for two days and two nights. Be thankful that you missed the hazing. Fenk, with fraternal love
