Surprising as it may be, I took that shot in October aboard the Mayne Queen.

yes. how did you get into allied? Didn't... There's a road I found on the map that goes down to the rail-bridge... at the end of the road, there's actually a sign marking this road's intersection with another; quite a maze. Right besides this is the bridge.

Nice photos, "t-terminal" Liked especially the one of the Coho. I though got confused first a bit with that webshots-account - they have these moving commercials and I was quite puzzled first when I opened the link and saw a little film of two naked people rolling around on the floor !!!! - Took me a while that this is one of these annoying commercials. Good photos, I though prefer fotopic as they seem (not yet) come up with that sort of stuff. Storm photos - I like these absolutely and incidentally I will be on the Amsterdam-Newcastle route next weekend, and it could be like this - well if you have a bit of bad luck

Is fotopic free, though? OK I agree here - good luck too because I actually do not mind a bit of heavy seas. Getting your food from the buffet is more interesting as you never know when a wave makes you dropping your plate.. just that you don´t get much sleep, it can get pretty noisy in the cabin and it takes around 17 hours one way though. Yes, www.fotopic.net is free, I personally like it and also because you can add a bit of own backgrounds etc. to it and as said, not so many commercials. I have not yet got seasick, but sometimes you open a page and you have these moving commercials, smilies etc. jumping around on your screen it makes me feel dizzy

Which is the BCF- route on which you most likely get a bit more severe weather ? If you are lucky or - unlucky I mean.

I would assume that would be Route 11 : Prince Rupert - Queen Charlottes; it's the only route that is almost entirely through open water, i.e. between Haida Gwaii and the mainland they use this, the original BCF "flag-ship" from '65, as the primary vessel on the route: community.webshots.com/photo/415309991/1415381291075594678MMPtZp

which would mean some even nicer, newer, more beautiful newbuilds for the route ? Sounds tempting and probably with a bit of luxury too for the tourists so they can market it as a cruise ... OK I stop talking nonsense here I know that you folks do not WANT luxury even a bit of that on your ferries and I should stop even THINK about it.. and then you´d not have to order newbuilds but buy one of "ours". OK, so to be realistic - are there already any plans ?

yes - plans - for 3 relatively identical Northern route vessels to replace the Queens of the North, Rupert and Chilliwack... very sketchy, preliminary, conceptual plans at the moment.

That sounds of something.. so after the Super C - there is more interesting stuff to come and with good luck (or again, bad for some... ) you do end up with a renewed fleet sooner or later.

Actually chivapcici, the routes are useless (doesn't serve any essential link), and because they can be from six-15 hours long, I could see some room for luxury.

Well put! put the luxury where is belongs, in the expensive-to-maintain coastal transportation; and leave the affordable to where those who can afford it will actually use it, out of necessity: The mainland! (hence: Why is the train from Van-Prince George only planned to be offered as a luxury service? (The average-traveller's RDC (Rail-Diesel-Car = self-propelled rail-cars) service along the line was cut around 5 years ago))

Thanks. I have replaced many Albion Ferry pictures today and they can be found here. It was a nice day, so I decided what the hell.
