Good mornin', folks. I couldn't sleep, so I thought that I'd let you know about a new slide-show presentation that I've made. Unfortunately the size of the photos in the slideshow isn't the largest, but if you find out how to access the larger pictures, please let me know; Thanks. It's a bit long, so be sure and slide the nob to ' fast' until you get to some shots that you like Also, be sure to press, in the upper right of the picture box on the home-page, the ' slideshow', and then ' Full View' buttons... That will give you access to the larger version of the slideshow, where the photos are at their best quality (that I can find so far). Here's the link: spaces.msn.com/indyinsane/...for my new home-page (i've only done the photos so-far). Cheers, Graham P.S. One of the members from here was kind enough to point out a mis-print on one of my photo-pages... The photos from my recent trip to Victoria, marked as being Canadian Frigates, were in fact MCDVs (Maritime Coastal Defence Vessels). As I could have sworn was the case when photographing them, Canadian Forces Frigates are about 2.5 times longer. Thanks to the member that corrected my mis-print, I learned that the shots of the MCDV in Victoria's inner harbour are of the HMCS Saskatoon. Just as a side note, it's my dad that I usually goto for confirmation of matters like this... but unfortunately when you're 60 years old and only looking at a camera's LCD screen for a few seconds, there's a good chance that you wouldn't call it correctly either.

It's official: I've uploaded my first video files. I found a new webshots-type site that lets you upload video, and I thought that I'd show you all some short clips that I've taken... Enjoy www.rphotobase.com/indyinsaneSo far there's one of the SOBC using the end of the pier at TSA to push-off during a storm, and a couple of the Albion ferries. BTW, the Albion clips were taken before I had a tri-pod, so they're a little shaky at times.

hmm... it didn't ask me to install anything that didn't atleast have enough english directions to do so...
I was MSN Messengering Shane this morning, and it worked for him.
Remember that you need Quicktime (or equivalent?) to view the movies. Also, just to note, press the MOV button once for the gallery, and then another MOV button for the clip that you want to see.
If this isn't working for anyone else, let me know.
Cheers, Graham

Don´t know really.. have quicktime, clicked on - it seems to load but nothing happened despite I did wait for 5 minutes. Don´t see the problem as I am, to be honest what computer specialists do call a "stupid user" ...

Well if you get the big Quicktime Q on your screen, then you're on the right track; unfortunately it does take a while to load, so I'd suggest letting it run in the background for the few minutes that it takes to upload.

New videos taken from the departure from TSA that I took, the day before yesterday ( sorry about the shakyness of the outdoor shots... as you can hear, it was windy); also pics of construction (of the new berth 2), and the SoVI (in berth 3), at Swartz Bay: www.rphotobase.com/indyinsaneNext I'll put a vid up of SeaSpan's Princess Superior.

Queen of Princer Rupert photos from today over the Esquimalt Drydock are here at community.webshots.com/album/506215399tZBdid they start with the 4th row down. The Queen of Prince Rupert is the farthest in so when they move her they need to move the Quinsam first and that other barge thingy in order to get her out.

....P.S. I'll soon be re-sizing the photos on my 'rphotobase' site, in order to allow the "full-size" shots to be small enough to fit on your screens.

Good morning, and goodbye, all... I'm off to L.A. (for unfortunate circumstances: my Grandpa's funeral) ...Thought I'd pass on (no pun intended ) a clip of Seaspan's Princess Superior that I took Wednesday; it can be found here: www.rphotobase.com/indyinsaneCheers, Graham P.S. When I get back in about a week, I'll upload pictures that I will have taken of the Queen Mary, which is permanently docked at Long Beach (she even has a breakwater around her) as a hotel/museum.

Hmm...that's interesting....
Maybe some of us should look into putting some sort of copyright into our photos, if people are going to do that...

Hmm...that's interesting.... Maybe some of us should look into putting some sort of copyright into our photos, if people are going to do that... The best thing seems to be when posting photos is to make sure you size them small, like under 620 pixels across, that way at least someone can't really make a 8x10 print of quality. I see the ebay photos are being sold as 5x7 prints. Nobody seems to ever want to steal any of my photos
