Here is a guess what ferry this is question. Also, feel free to say where you think the location is for this photo. For now I will just say that this might be yet another fuzzy photo of the fabled 8th sister somewhere in the Gulf Islands. The date was 21 May 1971 and if one looks really closely and squints you can just make out the 1971 centennial logo on the side of the ferry. [photo CWT - shot through the prop on an Air Canada Viscount]That photo was taken while overlooking Salt Spring Island, just slightly south of Ruckle Park. The vessel is en route to Swartz Bay in this particular photo. However, while I am unsure which vessel it is, it's either the Victoria, Vancouver, Saanich or Esquimalt. After skimming through the Favelle book, the vessel in this photograph is the Queen of Victoria.

After skimming through the Favelle book, the vessel in this photograph is the Queen of Victoria. On the slide frame I wrote Queen of Victoria 40 years ago. At that time only two of the Seven Sisters had been stretched. The Victoria had been 'done' in 1970, the Esquimalt a year earlier. As Mr. DOT stated above, the Esquimalt, though stretched, was not initially given the raised funnel and other cosmetic changes that became standard on all of the Seven Sisters. BTW, the Favelle book details the years in which the other sisters were stretched.

Guessing this photo will unlock all the remaining photos from a 3-day-long ferry trip I just came back from a couple minutes ago. So, you need to guess, -The BC Ferry's name -The location, as precisely as possible It's not easy, but it's definitely not impossible either.

Not a "Guess Where" , but a test nonetheless. Taking a look at this photo, how many BCFerries do you see? Just a test of first glances and we we see and what we ignore.

I want to say that I say a third ferry's wheelhouse right at dead-center in the picture, hiding behind those 4 evergreens...

I see a Queen of Cowichan, Mill Bay and Bowen Queen.
Also potentially a Skeena Queen smoking behind the hills.

Northern Adventure, forward mast...? Mike was the first one to answer this correctly. (Yayyy!) It was nice to see this owl still being put to use. As you all know, this used to be the owl that was located on top of the forward flag mast at the bow of the Queen of Prince Rupert
