I was talking to Gregg today and he said it will be within the next two weeks. Everything they post has to go through, and be approved by, lawyers.

Here's an "under-construction" comment the Save-Our-Ferries website: Here: saveourferries.com/I googled this new society (with correct spelling of "transportation") and found that Gregg Dow is a director. The society's website is password-restricted.

And this new Save-our-Ferries website is now up and available for viewing. 2 immediate impressions on the new page (a rambling commentary on safety history): 1) There was a June 2006 BCFS board meeting minute that mentioned an "Adjustment" to the bonus structure, to reflect the seriousness of the Queen of the North incident. - I've interpreted the "adjustment" word to mean "reduction", in this context. - Save our Ferries is interpreting the "adjustment" word to mean "increase". - the "adjustment" word is neutral, so it's just speculation to assume this was a bonus increase. 2) Minor nitpick item: - mentions that the Queen of Prince Rupert had 2 grounding incidents in Gunboat Passage. - I think it was actually just 1 incident, and also an incident 13 years previous on Haddington Reef (which is a long ways away, geographically).

Another nit pick - they refer to the collision between the Spirit of BC and the Star Ruby. It was the SoVI that was involved with the Star Ruby.
Striving for accuracy will improve ones credibility.
There is a link to the inquiry report re the 1970 Queen of Victoria accident. That makes interesting reading.

Many of us are already familiar with the Save-Our-Ferries group and their mission. - many of us share their some or all of their mission goals. The group has evolved over the past few years and has now positioned themselves as an advocacy group for preserving and enhancing public transportation in BC (my words, based on my reading of their website). You can find their website here: www.saveourferries.com/And you can find their FaceBook page here: www.facebook.com/SaveOurFerries- we encourage you to check our these pages, and to "Like" their FaceBook page if you share their vision.

Not necessarily a "Save our Ferries" item. Here's a bumper sticker on the general thoughts of local Gulf Islanders as seen from a vehicle aboard the Queen of Nanaimo.
