Another lithograph of the Charlotte, again in the First Narrows and published by T.N. Hibben, Victoria. Postmarked 1909 on the back and Cowichan Station on the front..

A great find for me today, a RPPC of the version directly above. Velox stamp box dates it between 1907-1917. No publisher, but possibly a Trio card, the title lettering is consistent with Trio. Definitely the photo version of the lithograph above.

Hmm, this could have gone under the Iroquois or the Princess Charlotte, but I'll go with the Charlotte. Postmarked 1914 with a nice George V stamp still on the back.

Nice little addition to the collection...a 1929 passenger list from the Princess Adelaide, but showing the Princess Charlotte on the cover.

Did you give us a photo of the Prince George when Charlotte's big brother was launched?
There are quite a few ex CPR or CNR boats that can be linked to actual members of the British Royal Family (both current & historical).

There are quite a few ex CPR or CNR boats that can be linked to actual members of the British Royal Family (both current & historical). I was discussing that with Mrs. Horn yesterday, and I pointed out that there would be a high probability of the new princess's name matching one of the early 20th century local steamships. Re the Prince George ship, I prefer the first Prince George (the GTP ship). Much nicer as a 3-stack ship, than the 2nd one. Just my opinion. ------------ Perhaps there is a strange parallel universe somewhere where a Royal couple names a prince or princess "Island Sky."
