Anyone think that BCF will put the 2010 logo on the ships like they did for Expo 86 and the Commonwelth Games and the 40th anaversary logo and think BCF will be in their 50th year when this happens they'll have the 2010 and 50th anaversary logo on the Spirts This should be right what am I doing wrong anyway

I have to agree with Flugel Horn. Punctuation is your friend.

Let me think for sec..... they might put the 2010 logo somewhere on the side of the ship, and the BCF 50 years logo on the funnel.

seems like a waste of money. Well if they didn't spend the money on painting, you'd be sure to say something like "BC Ferries is cheap."

no. the company doesn;t have the luxury anymore of having multi - billion dollar shortfalls to fall back on. and everntually The feds might even withdraw the subsidy that BCF has. im sure in the next 10 years they will withdraw it.

Actually, repainting ferries every 2 years is a neccessity. Remember a mere 3-4 months ago on here when people complained about the rust on ships? And that's with an aggressive repainting programme. I know HarbourLynx doesn't seem follow that practice, but perhaps it's because of the different metal the ship is made out of?
A major under water repaint is done every second refit, I think.

harbourlynx gets repainted every year to coincide with her CSI, but for somereason this year. they didn't do a very good job, and hence why the ship starts peeling. But starting after this year, they are gonna use self polishing paints, and the ship will only need to be pressure washed every 6 months, and painted every 6 1/2 Years.

Is Harbourlynx made out of Aluminum like the Fastcats? Because I heard paint doesn't stick to Aluminum that well and peels off, and I think the Fastcats are having the same problem.

yes she is aluminum, but there is paint that sticks, but at 100,000 to cover the ship, its kinda expensive.

just think about it the networks are going to be looking for all kinds of sites to get video footage of. the two spirtis passing in active pass on a sunny afternoon with olympic logos on them is better then any paid advertising that bc ferries will go for
