Anyone with old pamphlets or schedules from BC Ferries knows the slogan "Follow the Birds to Victoria" or "Vancouver Island" was used by BC Ferries in the 1960s (and by other ferry lines decades before). June's flagship theme will expand beyond Victoria for location and beyond birds for wildlife but will include these elements.
So we want photos that include ferries and wildlife in Washington, British Columbia, or Alaska. This could be birds, whales, starfish, deer, bears, wolves, or the ever elusive sasquatch. Please, no photos of cats or dogs. The animal(s) should be identifiable, for example, not just a dark spot in the water with an arrow pointing out that it's a whale - we should be able to tell what we're looking at!
In the interest of getting some nice clear wildlife photos, we'll try to be fairly easy on the ferry requirement. As long as enough of the ferry is visible so that we know it's a ferry and not a cruise ship... so it has to be more than just a railing on the passenger deck. Just part of a ferry must be visible, and if we can't tell which ferry it is, please put a note in the picture about where it was taken. The photo can be taken from a ferry or land. Ferries can be any car or passenger ferry operating on a scheduled run in the region specified.
