Shortly after leaving Swartz Bay, bound for Tsawwassen. This Queen looks positively regal on that beautiful BC backdrop. Love it.

Is it something do with the Coastals use Berth four all the time?

Had my first trip on New Westminster yesterday (round trip SwB-Tsa) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Queen Elizabeth's portrait is still front and centre in the forward lounge...but where is the provincial coat of arms? Usually on a Spaulding ship it's just below the bridge. MW

Finally going to go on a trip aboard the New West on the 25th, the first time I'll have been on her since the refurb. Really looking forward to seeing her all spiffed up.

Was that during her route 30 days, or was that around the start of her refit? Other than the two lifeboats, her decks look pretty barren of all other safety equipment... I don't see any zodiacs or inflatable rafts on the decks.

If it were not before (or one could just say 'after') her refit, one would notice that her car deck windows in the middle would be reduced from three to one. This is either prior to, or during, her refit.
