Tonight, we see a couple of changes at Deas.
The QUEEN OF NEW WESTMINSTER is back at Tsawwassen.
The QUEEN OF BURNABY must be getting really grumpy at her 192-car sister for getting a second career outside of BC. For this reason, the QUEEN OF NANAIMO is distancing herself from the BURNABY a little bit. That move occurred October 30.

Queen of Nanaimo/ Lomaiviti Princess V with her new name on her. Photos Credit Nigel Davis - published with permission. Great photos! It's interesting that Goundar is using about the same font used by BC Ferries. She has some good heavy duty towing chain on her bow. Is she going to be towed to Fiji, or is this in preparation for her "pull out" from Deas when the time comes for her sailing?

More photos have been added to the Queen of Nanaimo site. www.queenofnanaimo.com/photos-dave-bartle/Thank-you very much Dave Bartle for these great photos! If anyone else would like to contribute their photos, pls pm me. Thanks for this link, I really appreciate the engine room photos. I wish I had gotten the chance to see it in person. Does she still have the original engines/generators or were they replaced mid-life?

Just wondering if anyone has any update(s) on the departure date for the 'Nanny' as she sets sail for her new home in Fiji?

Thanks for that 'FNS". Bon Voyage Lomaiviti Princess V! Fair winds and calm seas would do the old girl well as she treks her way across the Pacific to join her 2 ex-BCFS mates in the southern tropics. Godspeed!

Sniff sniff😅.
Sad day, but at least her fate looks better than her younger sister.

Sniff sniff😅. Sad day, but at least her fate looks better than her younger sister. But alas, the older sister has yet to navigate her way safely to the grand reception and ball that awaits her in the land of sunshine and palm trees. Let us hope that elder sister's new haute couture is not marred by the loss of a 'slipper'

The LOMAIVITI PRINCESS V crossed the TSA - Active Pass lines at 1530PST. Meanwhile, the QUEEN OF COQUITLAM is northbound in Boundary Pass.
As not to jam this thread any further by position reports on my part, only two more updates will be provided until Race Rocks: East Point and pilot discharge off Victoria.

WindyTV shows that by Sunday afternoon, there will be some nasty wave heights out in the Pacific, perhaps on the LP5's south west course... I hope they've got those bow doors extremely well reinforced and welded.

East Point.
What could be the last ever pic of these two BCF workmates together, the LOMAIVITI PRINCESS V (QUEEN OF NANAIMO) and the QUEEN OF COQUITLAM met off Saturna Island. From the East Point cam.

Good bye to the Nanaimo ... One of the people on the jetty on the right is George Goundar. You missed getting me in that shot by a minute. 😉

The LP5 said goodbye to her pilot at 1835PST and is on her way out to the Pacific.
Any few of the pics I capture from Race Rocks will be displayed later tonight or tomorrow.
