Hi everyone,
I would like to make a quick note regarding what will be permitted in this month's flagship submissions:
We ask that you do not submit any photos of crew-only and/or restricted areas. This includes the interior of the bridge. We hope you understand the reasoning behind this.
I apologize for not outlining this from the get-go. It didn't really cross my mind until SC Commuter's submission.
Don't flash the bridge,
Mike

I'd like to submit the photos below, but flickr doesn't have a 1200x340 option in the "BBcode". They only have 1024x290 or 3996x1132. When I resize on Preview, the quality of the photo decreases significantly. If anyone could show me a way to avoid this problem, let me know. The photos are located on my flickr page (first 2): www.flickr.com/photos/69188975@N03/Resize your photo in Flickr. Do this by clicking on 'Actions', and when the drop-down menu appears select 'Edit photo in Aviary'. When the Aviary window opens select 'Resize'. When the Resize window opens just type 1200 in the 'width' box and then click apply. You should be able to figure it out from there. Jim, I don't have flickr pro

Here are my other two entries: The Chilkat at Fanny Bay. Full SizeNice. I was thinking of doing the same item as one of my banner nominations, from basically the same angle as yours. - but the railings on the fore-deck were my reason to reject it. I thought it looked too cluttered. When did you take your photo? - mine was February 2012.

It's not too much work; I do that every time.

Do you not see the pro icon? Everyone received a free 3-month Flickr Pro subscription when activated, including myself. I usually have to renew my account every Jan 1st, however due to Flickr's promotion, I will renew on April 1st.

Do you not see the pro icon? hahaha ok fair enough. I forgot about it as I got pro for free for 3 months (through the same way Mikey mentioned) and it is expiring soon. Rest assured that I will not be spending a cent to renew it.

I myself think Flickr is good, just possibly the best photo presentation web site around.

Don't get me wrong, I love flickr; I just can't wrap my head around paying to probably have my photos stolen. So I'm fine with having it free with less features. My photos already get stolen as it is.

Stolen photos? Welcome to the club! In the digital age theft is so easy...
