For the month of May, I am looking for photographs that feature interior lounge seating aboard a ferry.
Now, when I say "lounge seating", I am not looking for a cropped photo of a seat cushion. Ideally, the photo should show lounge seating in its surroundings. All ferries, provided they have lounge seating, are considered eligible for this ballot. BC Ferries' SeaWest Lounge, Aurora Lounge and Raven Lounge are also eligible for this ballot. Photos featuring computer workstations, table seating* (ie: cafeteria, buffet, etc.), exterior seating (ie: solariums, shelter deck, etc.) and those taken on the vehicle deck (ie: pet area) are not eligible.
*WSF bench seating with side tables are eligible.
Members may submit up to three (3) photos. Usual size restrictions apply. For further information, please see our Forum Flagship rules, located here. Nominations will end on Monday, April 29th at 9:00 PM PDT. Voting will commence shortly thereafter.

I already know from the description above that galleys will not be eligible but what about the WSF classical "2 bench with table" (located next to the windows). Say that I had prepared a selection of floor photography...

Say that I had prepared a selection of floor photography... I'd prefer to stick with just lounge seating for this ballot. That said, table seating may get a month of its own in the future...

So that wouldn't be eligible? Okay, I understand what you're saying now. The seating with those side tables are acceptable. I thought you were referring to the seating and tables that you'd find in the cafeteria against a window...

You should edit the post explaining the criteria to clarify that the bench seats with the tables are okay.

One entry for now. (It's the Queen of Burnaby's SeaWest Lounge. Note complimentary water.)

Here's my entry: FFS size HERE. This photo is of the upper aft lounge aboard a pre-stretched V-Class BC ferry. No clues as to the name of this ferry, though. A find of West Coast Ferries historical significance nevertheless. ENJOY!

Wow, those pictures bring up memories of when I rode on her in August 2008 (one month before her retirement!) on the Earls Cove-Saltery Bay route. That ferry was old-looking, though not nearly as old-looking as the Quinault was when I rode her in early 2007. This, as well as riding on the Surrey on the HSB-Langdale route was the first and so far only time I've ridden on BC Ferries. [sentence about voting preferences removed]

Just not sure which yet... We would prefer that you don't disclose your flagship voting preferences before or after voting has taken place. This post would have been perfect without the last paragraph. We make the voting process discreet and anonymous for a reason. Exclamation of interest/enjoyment of a photo is preferred, rather than telling us what you're voting for and why. This is so we can all have fun and enjoy ourselves, rather than make this political. Thanks.

Alright, my three: [pic] [pic] [pic] I'm sorry to tell you this again but your submissions are not high enough. While the 1200px wide length is ok, the height needs to be 340px, not 327, 312 or 301. A simple software like paint or GIMP can easily tell you this. My technique for cropping is to crop the photo to the area I want. Then I resize to 1200px wide and adjust the height so that it is 340px (or vice-versa).

I'm sorry to tell you this again but your submissions are not high enough. While the 1200px wide length is ok, the height needs to be 360px, not 327, 312 or 301. A simple software like paint or GIMP can easily tell you this. My technique for cropping is to crop the photo to the area I want. Then I resize to 1200px wide and adjust the height so that it is 360px (or vice-versa). Solduc, you might just be passing out incorrect info here. Full sized entries do not have to be exactly 1200 x 340. You can go with a height as low as 300 px, and a width as low as 1080 px. This allows some flexibility in which photos can be made into acceptable entries. For clarification refer to the rules.
