Since I have no job and View BC Ferries will be a source of income for me. I was thinking, Why don't I become our un-official photographer. I only travel by bus and disabled and legally blind (AKA no car period or access to someone with a car). The plus side is, since I live in New west, I can have easy access to Southern Gulf Islands, Swartz Bay, Tsawwassen, Duke Point, Horseshoe Bay, Nanimo, Bowen Island. Along with any ferries on said routes. Additionally every fourth week I have access to Crofton route when I am on Saltspring. I can also work to get a B.C. Ferries media pass since I am doing a site on them for long term.
What does everyone thing?

And I can do the ariel photos of most of the southern ferries. Very rarely do we get up to the north island though, past Comox. But everything south I can get from the air. Although we never know when we are going up.

I can also be photographer #2 for all those routes that you mentioned. If people wanted I could get on the SOVI on Tuesday and get photos of her.

I also have a B.C. Ferries disability pass, but if theirs a chop (aka 1ft+) I ain't touching a TSA. Just don't ask 150km winds row 37-7 (back-right) on a 767? from Gatwic to Vancouver through that Jan 4 93 Scottland storm, kills sensitivity level+ side needing to know if I am sailing or not has gotten me close to the crew of the Spirits, Nanimo and Skeena.
I also need some advice on how to catorize photos beyond ships and terminals. Any ideas for sub catorgies on ships, in terminals etc?

What do you mean by that?? Your not going if it's windy or stormy out or something along that line??? I'll go, darn it if I only had a digital camera back then on those stormy trips I have been on from Tsawwassen. That would been awesome to get photos of those stomy days.

Mac Write are you Disabled or somthing? you got to be if you have a disability pass Yes I am. As for the wind. I was looking forward to that stormy sailing on the 9AM on the third Friday of November back in 1998, but left the buffet and high tailed it. If you had been on this flight from hell, you would understand over 2 hours of being on a buckling bronko (no joke) trust me it killed my tolerance level.

Maybe - some of you should have a look at the Getty Images site - as you can sell your pictures there and make some real money. Bill Gates other buiness is Corbus - which is like Getty Images.
In Europe the major supplier of images is Getty - look at any newspaper in Europe and you will see most - 85% of the photo's - credited to Getty images.
