For April, the theme is going to be ferries AND other forms of public transportation. Both need to be prominent in the photo. So the banner needs to include two things:
1. A ferry OR a ferry terminal. Either should be obvious in the photo. Not a picture of a bus on the street at Horseshoe Bay... it has to include part of the terminal that makes the location clear.
2. Another form of public transportation (not including the private automobile). Most obviously: airplanes, float planes, buses, passenger trains, ... I'm open to more suggestions. - John H

Maybe skirting the edge of "prominent"... The paddlesteamer Tattershall Castle (b.1934) on the Thames, next to a line of London double-deckers and coaches. Tattershall Castle served the Hull-New Holland route until 1973, carrying both passengers and, to some extent, vehicles. Banner size: farm8.staticflickr.com/7289/12922421984_3600ef2923_o.jpg

Blue Bus Fan - I see a few issues with your submissions. First photo: While it's a ferry which is considered public transit, the theme this month is to have both distinct services in one picture. It might just be me, this photo might be able to make the cut. Second photo: I do not see any ferries in this photo. Entries for this month MUST have something to do with ferries. Third photo: Again, no ferries in the photo. Just because the transit vehicles were on the Route 620 from Tsawwassen, doesn't fill in the "ferry" component of this month. For April, the theme is going to be ferries AND other forms of public transportation. Both need to be prominent in the photo. So the banner needs to include two things:

AC, in your first photo, you have SeaBus, which qualifies as a ferry, but where is the other form of public transportation - bus, plane, or whatever?
In your second photo, you have the SeaBus, again, and a partial view of a sternwheeler. I'm not sure if that really counts, but it's the closest pic you have presented so far that's eligible for this theme.
Your last photo shows a passenger-only ferry and nothing else, so it really does not count. You have to have some other form of public transportation in the photo. That's the theme here.
So far, only your second photo qualifies for this Flagship, and even that one is questionable.

Awesome Cheese, Kahloke is correct, none of those banners meet the qualifications, sorry.

Thanks for those WCK. I wondered if anyone could get a train in! Might be a bit easier in Washington than BC... - John H

Here's my entry. It's a picture of the Evergreen State and a Kenmore Air DHC-2 Beaver both arriving at Friday Harbor. This was taken in August 2013, during what we now know is the Evergreen's last summer of service. Here it is: Full SizePS: I'm not sure if the location is totally obvious from this picture. If you think it's unnecessary to have the text, let me know and I'll remove it.EDIT: Just realized that this is my 787th post! It's only fitting that it's a picture of a plane.

In WCK's first entry, above, he fails to mention the fourth transportation company shown; the now defunct Victoria Express passenger boat, which in his 2009 photo, was operating between Victoria and Port Angeles, and I believe, to the San Juans. Quite the trick for anyone to come up with four in one photo, especially a fairly tight one.

Kinda hard to see, since so much stuff is packed in one photo.

Does the bus actually go on the ferry as part of its regular route? - John H

Yes. There are 3 trips in the morning over to Seattle. There are 2 evening trips and one afternoon trip over to Vashon.

I am thinking that this first photo is ineligible because the transit bus is not prominent in the photo. (not even close to being prominent)

Thanks for the last minute submissions AC. I'll take your second two admissions. I can see the buses in your first photo, but they're not prominent enough to highlight the theme of the month.
