Has there been a date set yet when Island 5 & 6 depart the shipyard?

The ISLAND 3 is passing by Santa Barbara tonight. Advancing less than 3 knots, though. The crew must be fishing for their evening meals.
The BCF logo has been getting international exposure during all these delivery voyages.

Pretty significant northerlies pushing down the entire California coast. . .might be fishing near Santa Barbara for a while. . .

Could be doing a storm course right now... heading south in 2.5 metre seas and 17-20 knot northwesterlies off San Francisco.

Perhaps Island 3 will just head for a safe harbor and wait things out. This surely must be the longest transit any BC ferry has made from Europe.

Yes I agree with you this is the longest transit ever. Tomorrow marks day 58. Who knows Island 4 might even catch up to Island 3?

And, if any of these pass under the Golden Gate Bridge, this might likely mark the first time a double-ended ferry would sail on San Francisco Bay under its own power since the filming session of the MV CORONADO in the 1972 movie comedy "What's Up, Doc?".

Looks as if Island 3 is moored & taking shelter due to weather? ISLAND 3 has been there for awhile. Meanwhile, the ISLAND 4 has just stepped inside the Atlantic foyer of the Panama Canal. Now awaiting the transit.

The ISLAND 4 is spending the overnight hours at Rodman in the Pacific Foyer of the Panama Canal.
The transit took place on Saturday, July 17, 2021, after a short wait in the Atlantic Foyer.
The cams were out of order, so no photo coverage of the lockings.
This vessel may likely meet the RED ZED I, with two former fast ferries of AMH on her deck, somewhere along the Pacific coast of North America. That rig is bound for the Canal and then on to Europe.

With the wind systems all astern of here now, I expect the Master to book a tentative Pilot time for Victoria very soon. That would be followed by another booking from a Shipping Agent, probably Westward Shipping. Will she sail on her own up to Point Hope or will their tugs take her the final leg under the bridge?

Because of interest shown I've added Red Zed I to the Island 4 map, and now that the Canal cams are back I'll do time lapse videos if conditions allow. Probably won't track all the way to Spain as I have limited resources for tracking. notice: for clarity, I made an off topic edit in frustration, thought better of it, then deleted it. no vowels were harmed. tak

Tak; First off who ever asked you that question that is none of their business, that is your business! Secondly I would like to thank you for your time & work that you have done to track all these new BC Ferries moves. I have followed every new BC Ferry move from when the Coastal Renaissance was making it's way over from Germany that you have made for tracking. Thank you again as I appreciate your time & effort...keep up the great work!
