With BC Ferries doing a complete 180 on 95% reservation pilot project and canceled. It seems like BC Ferries needs to come up with better permanent solution. The City Council of Sechelt is calling on province to make contractor changes to route 3 such as 12 sailing per day in peak season, foot ferry and shared vessel that prioritize peak service on route 3 and smaller vessel year round. I agree with the City Council with demand but I still think there very easy way of improvements to route 3 by Queen of Surrey and Queen of Coquitlam providing hourly on route 3. Coastal Renaissance and Queen of Oak Bay providing year round service on route 2. Queen of Cowichan will provide relief to C-Class vessels excluding Queen of Alberni and secondary sailing out of Departure Bay. Coastal based out of Swartz Bay would still do secondary sailing and provide relief for her sister and Spirit Class during off peak season, Queen of New Westminster will provide relief for the Coastal and Queen of Alberni.www.prpeak.com/highlights/sechelt-council-calls-on-province-to-push-for-bc-ferries-service-improvements-3757642
