This Thread is to cover the Passenger-only Ferries (and closely related topics) of California. First-up: Whatever happened to the Catalina Island boat, Carib Star? Yes, I'm talking about the boat that got bombed in 1975, on baseless accusations that the S.S. Catalina (her running mate) was being sold to some Kuwaitis!
As far as I can find, it may have been built by Blount Boats in Warren, Rhode Island, then after the bombing, was repaired and taken to San Francisco, but the trail goes cold from there. Can anyone fill-in the Blanks?
