4 1/2 inches on the walkway as I waddled/slid my way in from the truck after an exhausting day on the Sealth.

5 cm of new powder here in Calgary, and it's -25 degrees.
However, the locals have all told me that a Chinook wind can change the temperature by +30 degrees in a few hours, and melt the snow. We'll see if that happens this week.
I'm living & working dowtown, which has a great system of enclosed heated walkways on the 2nd floor level of the downtown buildings.....kind of like a long narrow mall that runs on a snake-like pattern thru various downtown buildings.
I walked around outside in -20 degree weather yesterday afternoon.....it was a bit crazy.

A couple of pics from where I live (taken about 4:30 PM today). With flash: and without flash: It was snowing this morning, then changed to rain, then back to snow around 3:30. I'm guessing there's only an inch or two outside.

Probably have almost a foot here in Burnaby near Metrotown. Made for lovely driving. Even Kingsway was iced over tonight and had several inches between lanes.

Is that the one that ties in to the Calgary Tower at some point? I've wandered around in it if that's the case...

Looks like we're missing the majority of this snowstorm. We only have about 2 inches at the most now. But on top of our current -10 temperature, there's a gale wind, making there be -20 to -30 windchills. The roads are really slick right now, they've been having some problems on the Sea to Sky, and it's fun watching cars sliding sideways down my road. Other than that, I think I'll be getting some friends together at some point this week, and play some ice hockey at the pond across the street from my house.

Well, seeming I recieved probably one of the best phone calls this morning, that I've gotten in a while, saying that I didn't have to go to work today, due to the wind chill. So I thought I should just get out and enjoy it, seeming I didn't really leave my house at all this weekend (rare). Anyways, enjoy the pics of out amount of snow, compared to yours! The pond across the street from my house, that I like to skate on in the winter. OMG can you believe it was actually sunny in Squamish for once!!A little bit too early for playing hockey on, but that will change within the next day or two, with this -20 windchillMy streetDarrel Bay (I didn't go right to the dock, because the road was really slick, and my car was sliding around at the top of the hill as it was, so I decided not to get stuck in Darrel Bay!Sea to Sky highway, Mt. I bet the islands look really nice covered in snow. The Active Pass trip must take on a whole new character in the snow... I'd love to see it, but it's pretty hard to time when we only get this kind of snow every few years! The mountains looked beautiful today with the sun shining on them, especially around sunset time.
On another topic, the roads are still pretty bad here in Burnaby, at least around Metrotown (pretty high up elevation-wise). Can't even see the road lines on Kingsway tonight, a day after the snow, and the side streets are ice rinks:)

You got caught talking with your peers too much, and was disrupting the whole class. Makes sense. Do I dare ask.......What happened last time?

You don't know what goes on in my school. Our newest cirriculum is screwed up. (WARNING RANT COMING)
Now this is where it all starts, a teacher from one of the high schools in the district had a bad teacher who believed that people should use other people to learn how to do math right? Well, after three weeks, most switched out. Now, he is the director of the math cirriculum for the district. So our district decided to use tax payer dollars to implement his beliefs due to merchants worried about people not being able to remember basic math. Now, some people in my class hate the same teacher, pretty much everyone in every period hates her. (not in the steep hate but in the don't like hate) It ticks me off to go in there. Literally, she is under propaganda from what I can see. What is the problem? I learn more math in science than I do in math class.
