Speaking of hypocrites, unless of course the plastic baloons filled with helium let-go into the atmostphere only to be dropped by when wind currents who knows where were BCFS's idea Do we have PROOF POSITIVE that the balloons were HELIUM filled and that the 'esteemed' Mr. Hahn did not use his own personal never-ending supply of hot-air to inflate them? I would think that the latter would be more environmentally friendly This raised a further question -- were they German balloons, Polish balloons, or did we use "Made in BC" balloons for this?? I'll be quiet now ..... ;D

They sure didn't waste anytime making the video available. Better view than on the webcams.

www.flickr.com/photos/brinkmann/464077931In the upper-right of this photo, that door, hinged at the top, looks very similar to what the Spirits have on their port side at aft in order to take on stores at Swartz Bay; this would be fitting considering that the upper passenger deck, according to an official in conversation at the the last BCFS AGM in Victoria, is actually the main passenger deck in the design of the Super Cs. The Super-C's will load stores identically to the S-Class ships...

These guys sure don't waste any time. Nice to see something come in on time so far and under budget. I hope BC Shipyards are learning something in this process to make them more competitive in whatever segment of the market they are going after.

Great photo coverage, too! I sure wish we could ride her in the Panama Canal on her delivery voyage. All those windows to look out of and the huge Sun Deck. Great way to see this canal (that is, if the transit is in the daylight hours, of course). Let's hope she stops at Tenerife so we can see her there on their webcams amongst the other ships (and to see the natives there take their first look at a double-ender!).

The new funnel design maybe growing on me. I will reserve full judgement until I see it in place. I am sure the designers are just waiting to hear what I think too ;D The view out those windows in the front lounges is going to be great.

Do you see something neat in the above photo? Two foot passenger gates. There is one on the end platform as well as one behind the bridge wing. Smart thinking! It looks like that there were thoughts of contingencies. If one of these vessels need to return to a dock of origin, passengers could get off without going to the car decks. The gates at the end are used at HSB and TSA, and the other is used at DPB and SWB (usually at the other end of the vessel). This means that these vessels could be oriented either way. Also, BCF can do an April Fools trick by rotating the vessels to the opposite ends and confuse the passengers in their typical boarding and finding their usual favorite seat and galley searching (WSF has done this in the past on some of the runs on April Fools Day).

I've always thought that making the ship identical from either end was how a double ender should be, and now you can say the Super "C" Class is absolutly the same from one end or the other exterior-wise. On the original "C" Class it was easy to know that the No. 1 end was the end with two exits at the front and in the covered ares and the No. 2 had one exit at the front, the reason maybe to have more walk space since the No. 2 End is also the Cafeteria end. It's about time they thought about this.

I completely agree with you Curtis! I've always thought the C Class should be symmetrical and thats how they looked best! Thats why I was so peeved after I saw pics of the first C coming out of MLU. Oh well, at least the new C's will be symmetrical!

I wonder if Herr Brinkmann has realized he has a whole fan base for his photos he has never met Deboarding (a true term or did I just invent it?) passengers will be able to look right into the wheelhouse as they go by.

Deboarding (a true term or did I just invent it?) One can board or embark, then disembark or debark, but not deboard. Along this same topic, why can one emplane, entrain or embus, then deplane, detrain or debus, but not emship or enship, then deship? ;D Of course, one must also remember a bark is a ship, too! Digressing... digressing... digressing

And, as a bonus, if a person can become DISGRUNTLED, why have we NEVER heard of anyone becoming GRUNTLED in the first place???

As opposed to just "noring" it...... oh yeah, seig Renaissance.
