I was down at Departure Bay Yesturday around 3:30 and when the Seaspan Challenger made her Entrance Island call the Coastal Inspiration was northbound around Thrasher Rocks for Departure Bay. (That is 3:30pm)

Well the Coastal Inspiration is either leaving or entering Departure Bay right now on the webcam. Not entirely sure where she is going but she is going somewhere.

The CI must have been out in the strait doing some trials. I looked during lunch and it was out in the strait at that time, and now there's no sign of her which probably means she's back in port. Looking at the webcam right now it looks like the CI is trying out Berth 2, but not for long I'm sure as the Rennie is closing in on Departure Bay.

Coastal Inspiration is currently approaching Tsawwassen. I'm interested to see which (and how many) Berths she tries out.

Today, she's out sailing along the Sunshine Coast. Looks like she went over to Langdale, and is now heading up the Coast towards Sechelt.

I was out on a day trip on the Tsawwassen, and the CI showed up just as we were leaving. She pulled into berth 5 (the one the spirits use), but that's all I could see. It was very foggy and she disappeared into the mist within a few minutes.

Nice pictures Alex. Makes me think of how Tsawwassen terminal would look like this winter with the Coastal Celebration being in service to fill in for one of the Spirits.

Any word yet, official or unofficial, if there will be any kind of an "open-ship" aboard the Coastal Perspiration?
I don't know if BCFS will bother with it on the follow-on ships, but the "restricted area" tours are something that would be a draw even for the 2nd and 3rd of the class boats...

Coastal Inspiration is currently approaching Duke Point. RBI is still showing the Coastal Inspiration to be in service on Monday, June 16th. . .if that's the case, ONLY 1 WEEK TO GO!!

The MV COASTAL CELEBRATION may be arriving next week or earlier and has to use the slip the MV COASTAL INSPIRATION has been using.

Almost like playing musical chairs. ;D I'm wondering if they'll send Cowichan or Coquitlam over to Langdale to do the Route 3 extra sailings.

I'd practically guarantee it'll be the Coquitlam. She'll be based out of Langdale all summer while the Cowichan will be based at Departure Bay as the 3rd vessel on Route 2.
The Coquitlam has been the 'mule' of the C Class fleet for some time now, and that has partly been the case due to having a smaller MLU, compared to all other C's. The Nanaimo crews are also very familiar with the Cowichan since she has been based out of Nanaimo since her MLU (and even before that!).
Back to the CI, after sailing part way up Georgia Strait (and while the Cowichan was at Duke Point), she has arrived back at Duke Point for another dock trial. Work must be complete on the additional dolphin by now, I would think.

I just checked the RBI and you're correct ferrytraveller, it will be Coquiltam moving to Langdale.

According to Siitech, CI is currently east of Gabriola Island and heading SE, probably to Tsawwassen.
EDIT: She's heading back to DB.

She snuck into Departure Bay after the Coquitlam left on the 3 pm and left to go back into the Georgia Strait hanging out and I do not know where the heck she is going.

CI is currently approaching Tsawwassen. It's a busy terminal right now with the Nanaimo, Tsawwassen, Vancouver, and SoBC all there right now.
**EDIT. . .It appears that it was an MD sailing! According to CurCon, it's listed as having a 9am departure from Duke Point! She's also appearing on the Route 30 vessel tracking, except they're showing a Spirit Class icon for her! ;D

CI is currently approaching Tsawwassen. She is, taking paying passengers too... Today is her first day to start unscheduled sailings prior to entering full-service.

She was the 12pm sailing to Duke Point. She took mostly truck traffic since her committed deck space was 33% and 100% for PVD and MVD.
