Hey Sandi, I've noticed that, the Howe Sound Queen has had a new staircase added on to her on the crofton side since the last time I was on her, which was summer 2003

Hey Sandi, how long do your photos usually take to appear on fotopic??? I have uploaded some photos and created some new collections. I did it like this afternoon and they still havent appeared yet. The pages are there but there are no photos yet. I know the first album I did last year of the cruise ships, took a while to appear. Has fotopic changed since last year?? It looks like it has.

Usually they show up within the hour. For the last week or so they have been making changes so there has been some delays.. One of my Tsawwassen albums took over 8 hrs to show up. I have more photos from our Salt Spring trip to upload but I have to delete some photos from the older albums first. I am out of space.

erriesrielhotos.fotopic.net/c479102.htmlIs the address. But fotopic seems to be really slow right now unless it just my computer. As it seems to take forever to open the photos. Could be just my computer though as it's always slow, lol!

I know, Fotopic does suck but the only reason about it that I like is, it lets you have the full versions of photos. If yahoo did that I would stick with yahoo cause I also like yahoo because you can give a description of each individual photo. Webshots I have never tried cause you have to download their program where as yahoo and fotopic you dont. If there is any photo sites that let you have full version photos, let me know.

I am going to try and see how many photos I can get of the SOBC tommorrow as I am planning on going to Vancouver for the day. Hopefully the 9am from Swartz Bay and 7pm from Tsawwassen wont be too busy!
I was also thinking of maybe taking another trip the following week on the SOVI so I can get some photos of her, cause we really dont have a lot of photos of the interior on the SOBC and SOVI. Now it will be neat to see. You guys know now that every ship on route 1 has a different interior now? The new SOBC, the older interior of the SOVI before upgrades, the newer fancy interior of the Queen of Saanich and the old classic Queen of Vancouver interior.

You go get those photos. All the ships on route one now are in a variety of interiors from the old interior of the Queen of Vancouver to the nice interior of the Queen of Sannich and from the great interior of the SoVI to the grand interior of the SoBC

I have 9 scheduled trips on the SOVI this year before the upgrade, as well as 8 on the SOBC (not sure which ship for Aug sailing). That will give me plenty of time to photograph the state rooms, bridge, office, galley, etc. Yes I have contacts on the ships thanks to my disability. I also could gain access to almost the entire Nanny if I begged. My next scheduled SOBC sailing is 7AM April 15, and SOVI 11AM, April 22.

I have added some new pics to my webshots site. In my Deas gallery, I added shots I took sunday. Because it was a sunday, I decided to get some shots of the QotN and Burn from close to the water (making for better looking pics). As per request from Sandi, I took some close ups of the work being done to the Burn; mind you, tarps cover most of the deck work being done. (BTW, the Burnaby has now left Deas) I've also *finally* added shots of the upper deck restaurant on the Saanich, as was requested long ago. (they're in the interiors section) Sorry for taking so long on the requests... I haven't been around lately due to a family emergency in the Bahamas. My site is at: community.webshots.com/user/grahameajohnsonEnjoy!

It's name is 'The Star of the Seas', and no, it's not BC ferries. I'm assuming that because Deas Pacific Marine is a relatively private company, that they can rent out dock space to private vessels. One time that I was at Deas, taking pictures, I noticed a rough looking fellow step off the ship for a smoke... maybe the crew lives on board. I couldn't find any registration port marking, though.

Deas is in fact a private company and is able to bid on work on other vessels, not just B.C. Ferries.
