Alright more SoBC photos! ;D Yup. I will have access to the Buffet, and should easily be able to get into the new lounge for photos as well. I will even ask to get into a state room and the conference room, shouldn't be hard at all.

If a BC Ferry was to sail up Indian Arm, I'd get so many pics. The Biggest boat that I've seen sailing up there is the HMCS Vancouver. Watching the SOBC or SOVI sail up there would be quite a site, especially if she sailed up to Wig Wam Inn, Watching her go through the channel on the Port Moody side would be interesting, She wouldn't fit on the North Van side, Way too narrow. It probably wouldn't happen though.

The Spirit of BC went up when I was like 7, and she was just being commissioned. I took the HMCS Calgary as far as Jugg Island, where we swung around and headed out towards Point Grey, and then back again to Canada Place.

I know someone is going to say this isn't a new photo, but I was looking at the links on the Yahoo Forum and I found this site. I'm really sure all of you guys have seen many times. But I found a picture of Queen of Victoria leaving Tsawwassen back in 1997. It's weird seeing this picture because it makes me think that she never left and that she is still in service today. But this page starts out looking at Queen of Vancouver to show that she is in Berth 5 so it has to be Queen of Victoria leaving in the other photo because of the 3 bridge windows that are slightly lower than the rest and plus the windows on the bottom car deck. Queen of Vancouver: www.csd.uwo.ca/cgi-bin/magi/slideshow?magi+Vacation97/BPC4531921+26Queen of Victoria: www.csd.uwo.ca/cgi-bin/magi/slideshow?magi+Vacation97/BPC4531921+31Don't ask why I posted this, but I just thought it was something interesting to point out in case nobody noticed before.

I have added new photos to my webshots site: -In the "Terminals" section, I've added a few shots of Duke Point terminal, and one more shot (taken from the foot-passenger walkway) of the rebuilding of berths 1 and 2 at Tsawwassen (soon I'll be adding more close ups of berths 1 and 2, as well as shots of the new quay under construction at Tsawwassen). -Last, but not nearly least, I've added to the "Feature Photos" section shots of the Washington Marine Group's tug-barge cross-straight service, WMG's Carrier Princess, and of Quinsam. See them all at: community.webshots.com/user/grahameajohnson

Oh, and I also added some shots that I lifted from the Queen of New Westminster, showing her lifting and new hull being added. (sorry for the double post)

More new pics! I went to the Maritime Museum of B.C. yesterday when I was in Victoria, and took pics. I've posted most of the pics that I took in their B.C. Ferries gallery on my webshots site: community.webshots.com/user/grahameajohnson To find them, look in the "B.C. Ferries at the Maritime Museum of B.C." section.
