They didn't do work to the lounges. They replaced the steel on the outer deck. Maybe why they wouldn't let anyone up there was because they probably weren't guarented to support passengers and crew up there and now with the deck steel replaced they are. Thats a possible theroy

(sorry, I don't know how to properly quote)
Were all the sun deck level outer decks closed before they replaced the steel plates? Or was it just the solarium behind the bridge that was closed?

they had the solariums closed. because the support structure had rust in it, then they closed it before they replaced the steel deck.

Don't forget your camera! We don't have very many pictures of the Chilliwack. I think we just have a couple outside shots of her. It would be nice to see some shots of her interior and the car deck. We had a good time on the Burnaby yesterday. I went up to the area behind the bridge and took some photos. community.webshots.com/album/331223216JOpBIg

I might get the full ship treatment Update the whole ship from top to bottom Engine room and up to the Bridige I'll mainly get the whole ship and even get the chance to drive the ship. I'll do it again when the Tsawwassen starts up again she's tying up in berth 2 tonight and gonna sit there for awhile (April 26/05)I know this because I know the first mate's wife she works as a sub for a girl with cerebal palsy I was talking to her earlier
