I like the minor vessels, especialy the Quinsam and Quinitsa because of the bridge "hanging" over the vehicle deck, although I do like the Saanich and SOVI, I never saw The Pacificats because I landed in Vancouver from England, on August 4th 2004.
The mill bay is a good vessel too, although it is not on a good route, if it could be used from Swartz bay to Saturna Island then it could be a good ferry (if there is already a Saturna Island ferry, have them run in tandem and have a vessel like the quinsam for the winter months on the mill bay route but make the vessel to have her wheelhouse higher than the original quinsam (as high as the skeena queen if possible) and have the mill bay in the high season (Summer and spring) to have any other ferrylover traffic and cyclists.
The mill bay is a very good vessel, she has shown it, she has had a very little amount of disasters and she is still afloat for being 48-49 years old.

Probably Saturna could use a small ferry like the mill bay then you wouldent have the other ferries having to go all the way to Saturna. If they had lots of ferries and they could do that, they should have a separate ferry and schedule for each island instead of having ferries go to all different islands on some sailings.
If they could use the Bowen Queen still on a permenant route they could have the Cumbie, Mayne and Bowen each serve one island, Mayne, Galiano and Pender with Cumbie she could still serve one or two of the more popular islands.
Although would people want to spend over and hour on the Mill Bay going to Saturna with no passenger area or food or vending machines like the Mayne and Cumbie??

Or maybe they can "splice" her into the new Golden Ears Bridge to save some money.

Yeah well basically the Cumbie is the main ship on that run and she is used more than the Mayne Queen. If you look at the current conditions the Mayne Queen does less sailings each day than the Cumbie. I guess maybe Cumbie does the busy sailings and the Mayne Queen does the less busy sailings. I have never been on the Cumbie when she has been full. I have always been on her when she has been less busy. Which is nice though.

Yea is sounds like Harbourlynx Kid has a new fan club member. So free travel on the Harbourlynx? Kimberley - if you don't ask - you wont get...
Mine you the vessel is a bit sexieee to look at side - on, but not face or stern on.
You know like certain cars are classified as"Girlie" cars - or hairdresser cars - well the Harbourtlynx is a "girl" type boat.... (I guess that just killed my free travel plans...)

OK Harbourlynx - I have seen that picture before - trying to think where. .....
Is she going to be built in BC or America? - If USA - is that because of the Jones Act and you may want to use her on trips to the States? or for resale value?
What engines are you going to be running - Cat? Number of Crew? - (4)
