They should replace the Nanaimo a few years down the road with something like that. Earls Cove-Saltery bay gets Capilano.

that photo was easy to do, because of the randomness of the water.

HarbourLynx Kid - this is getting very interesting. The service speed a bit on the high side - given the Wake / Wash issue - which so far - there is no reg on. What about fuel - at that speed she will drink a lot - therefore op cost will be high. What enginess - will they be Cat or Detrol Diesel ? Jet or Prop ? (Jet I guess at that speed)
Interesting - in the location of the build. Covering all the points with regards to a possible sell on. I do wish the Americans would drop the Jones Act - and that Canada also sorts out the Tax on new vessels coming into Canadian waters.
Your picture - that vessel will work on the other route you talked about - as it is a "river" vessel - not so sure about across the Strait - as the waves can get a bit high - and free board on the river style is only around 1.5m - would think you need freeboard on a major strait crossing.

she will only be able to handle 1.5m Waves at full speed, and at 28 knots she can go to 3.8m Waves, because of the ride control system she might employ

she wont guzzle much, she will have 4 smaller catterpiller engines on 2 jets.

So I guess you be running either the Cat C12c engines or the Cat 3412E - c class enginess.
What lenght is she going to be and tonage? Deadweight and light weight. OP speed at 28KM - is a better speed on fuel saving. But depends on weight and lenght ratio's.
