I'll second Mac's comment! Very nice video, with a good showing of every part of the ship. As for quality I don't a problem with it.

Awesome video, Ship rider. I'm very impressed.
Hehe, that sounded like I was the one blowing the horn at the very end ;D.

Now that I've just recieved my video camera back from Nick, who very kindly filmed the decomissioning of the Queen of Saanich. I've now started to build my next tribute, this time for the Queen of Saanich. Now this is where all of you come in. I'm searching for a song that would go nicely for the Queen of Saanich. Please provide a link to the song from Youtube, or some sort of website which hosts the song so I can hear it. The deadline for suggestions will be by about 5:00pm PST, December 2nd. The reason why I'm having a deadline, is because I'm trying to get this video posted to the internet before I move to my new house later this week, which means I will have no internet for a while.
Cheers!

You could go local...
Nelly Furtado - All good things (come to an end)
... but for some it might make it too much of a chick flick;)

How about this one:

How about Phil Collins, "We Said Hello, Goodbye", especially if you exclude the long intro (start about 1:12 into the video)
Or, for something a bit more morose, there's Pink Floyd's "On The Turning Away"

Alright everyone, I have another preview tribute made now. This one was definitely a little more challenging for me to make, because I couldn't find a song that felt like it fit with the video. I think I could have done this one a little better, but then again it's just a preview. So I hope you all enjoy it anyways.
Here's the video for the Queen of Saanich.
Cheers!
PS: Thanks to Nick who kindly went to the decomissioning for me to get the decomissioning and interior footage for me with my camera!!

Excellent Job Once Again Chris. Can't wait for the Tribute Video of the Queen of Vancouver. That was funny when the speech was interrupted by the "S" Class whistle.

Alright... not necessarily nominating this for a video, especially since I can't find a good version of it anyway, and it sort of applies more to the days of sail, but it is somewhat of a nautical tradition to mark the end of a voyage.
Leave Her, Johnny, Leave Her
I thought I heard the Old Man say, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. You may go ashore and draw your pay, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
You can make her fast, and pack your gear, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. You can have her moored ‘long side the pier, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
The winds were foul, the trip was long, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. And before we leave, we will sing one song, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
We’ll sing old maid, we never be Leave her, Johnny, leave her. On a hungry ship the likes of she, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
The food was bad, the wages low, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. And now ashore once more we’ll go, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
The bunks were hard, the watches long, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. The seas were high and the winds were strong, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
She’d neither sail, nor steer, nor wear, Leave her, Johnny, leave her. She shipped it green, and she made us swear, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
Her sails are stowed, her work is done, Leave her, Johnny, leave her, And now on shore we’ll find our fun, And it’s time for us to leave her. Leave her, Johnny, leave her, Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her.
Leave her, Johnny, leave her. Oh, leave her, Johnny, leave her, For the voyage is done, And the winds don’t blow, And it’s time for us to leave her

I know, I know, yet another video to watch. This is the last one for awhile. I decided to make another tribute video using footage from the Burnaby I filmed half a year ago paying tribute to the views we used to have with the V's that still live on today in the B's. So without further ado, here's the link... A Ride on the Queen of Burnaby

Man, that brings back a lot of fond memories on the ship I grew up with... thanks Ship-Rider for the reenactment of the good times on the Queen of Burnaby.

Very nicely done Ship rider. I really enjoyed that video, and very appropriate music to go along with it.
I will however pass on a bit of a heads up, because Youtube has been cracking the whip at people lately, myself included. They've cut out all of the audio on some of my tribute videos, due to the fact I reproduced music without a license. So I've deleted those videos, to prevent any further punishment.
