it might even be an idea to keep the 'Vancouver' stached somewhere I live near Scott Rd and Nordel Wy in Surrey, and I would be willing to DONATE my underground parking stall -- I currently have it rented out at $30/mo, but I'd be willing to park the QoV there for free .... While we're at it... why don't we just give the Vanckouver at $150 million upgrade so she can pair up with the New West.

I have my old model paints still ... and I can use some of my moving pads (blankets) to re-upholster the seats ...

The Oak Bay is experiencing clutch issues, and it appears that the Surrey will be pulled from Deas to replace the Oak Bay until her clutch is fixed...

The Oak Bay is cancelling two more round trips today, so the Cowichan is the only boat on the route until the 3:00pm. That's if they either decide to run her later or in the day, or the Surrey is pulled from refit. We have a shortage of available vessels all of the sudden. Worst case scenario, the Vancouver gets pulled from Swartz Bay. But I can't see that happening.

There's no way a clutch could be repaired in a day. If the Queen of Surrey - a ship who just started a refit yesterday afternoon, is being pulled from that refit.....That definitely means the Oak Bay is going to be out for a while. The Oak Bay will likely be brought over to Deas once the Surrey comes out. Langdale is going to flip when they see their beloved Queen of Surrey on another route, while they have to put up with the longer sailings on the Queen of Esquimalt......A comment I was told about from Dane who was aboard the Queen of Coquitlam the other day . Just watch, the Queen of Surrey will eventually be pulled back on to Route 3, and the Coquitlam takes the place of the Oak Bay instead.

Yeah, the Surrey is appearing on the "Departures, Arrivals" page, filling in for the Oak Bay for the two afternoon round trips on Route 2.
Islanders will get a chance to get more educated about the Sunshine Coast, thanks to the Surrey's brochure racks and large wall ads! ;D I wonder how many people will think they're on the wrong ferry when they see the vast Sunshine Coast information on board!

The Spirit of BC has not been operating after her first round trip this morning. SiiTech is showing the SoBC humping the New West, so I gather she is in Berth 2 right now. Cancelled sailings have been the 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
The Queen of Vancouver is revving up her engines and will be doing a round trip in place of the SoBC, starting with the 5pm sailing out of Swartz Bay.

Here's some s m r t thinking, rather than run the QoVan empty back to Swartz bay, they had the sense to throw in an 11:30pm out of tsawassen

Here's some s m r t thinking, rather than run the QoVan empty back to Swartz bay, they had the sense to throw in an 11:30pm out of tsawassen She's still at Tsawwassen currently, so we'll see if she leaves later this morning or not. Leaving her on the 'wrong' side must have been quite the merry mix up for the crews out of Swartz, though. Edit: the Spirit of BC left Tsawwassen at 11:00 this morning. No 11:30 is listed, and space is only being shown for the Coastal Celebration at 1:00. However, it does look like the Van had been scheduled to do a 7:00am sailing which was canceled.

I don't know when she moved back over to Tsawwassen, though... maybe someone who knows how to use the replay function can figure out when she was moved over.

Siitech history showing her arriving at Swartz bay at 1:30am from tsawassen and dropping off and leaving Swartz Bay at 1:50am heading for tsawassen, arriving into berth 3 at around 3:35am
